Pamela
was first introduced to yoga 16 years ago. Her technical training
is Hatha Yoga in Astanga Style and she considers herself fortunate to
have studied with some of the great yoga masters including Donna Farhi,
Ana Forrest, Michael Gannon, Matthew Sweeney, Sri Ramaswami, Venkatesh,
Kino MacGregor and Manju Jois.
Pamela holds an Honours Degree in Philosophy from the
University of Glasgow, and has over 15 years experience as a teacher
within the health and fitness industry. As well as being a REPs
recognised Level 3 Yoga Teacher, she is also holds a CYQ A1 Assessor
within the Active Leisure Industry Certificate. Her other certificates
include an
SYTA Teacher Training Certificate -
Foundation, Hatha Yoga Astanga Vinyasa Style, Fitness Pilates, RSA Certificate
in Teaching Exercise to Music, YMCA Exercise to Music, YMCA Aqua Exercise
to Music, YMCA Step Exercise to Music,
BTS BodyCOMBAT, BTS BodyPUMP, BTS BodyATTACK, BTS
BodyJAM, BTS BodySTEP, BTS BodyBALANCE, BodyMAX, Group
Cycle Instructors Track (QFF), Advanced Instruction
Module (Fitpro), Fitkid Health Related Fitness for
Children and YogaBugs. Pamela has also attended BTS Assessors Module Training
and BTS
Group Fitness Management Module Training.
Pamela
spent over 5 years as a Group Fitness Manager for two
prominent and very successful health clubs. During that time she taught, assessed and educated
not only members of the public, but also group fitness
and yoga instructors. Her
experience is as wide as it is varied.
Pamela is known
for her unique ability to draw students and teachers closer to their
true potential through yoga. As well as teaching classes
throughout Lanarkshire and Glasgow, she also mentors yoga teachers in
training, holds regular workshops, and leads yoga retreats in Scotland.
